JumpMAT Readings
Vertical Jump Mode – When the athlete steps onto the mat, remaining for more than one
second is deemed a standing jump and only Height Jumped and Flight Time are displayed.
Rebound Jump Mode – The athlete steps onto the mat and immediately jumps into the air.
On landing the Contact Time and Flight Time are measured. Height Jumped and Reactive Strength are then calculated and all four are displayed.
Flight Time – The time between leaving and landing on the mat is measured in 1/1000th second.
Jump Height – The flight time of the jump measured in 1/1000th second is used to
calculate the height jumped in 0.1cm intervals.
Contact Time – When the athlete steps on the mat and immediately jumps into the air, landing back on the mat, the contact time on the mat is measured in 1/1000th second.
Reactive Strength – Reactive Strength is a ratio of Flight Time to Contact Time and is shown when performing rebound jumps.
